Our Story
Sibonile Happiness is a Private Voluntary Organisation registered under the laws of the government of Zimbabwe (PVO 84 84/20) and is based in Harare It is a vocational skills giving organisation aimed at reducing the dependency syndrome amongst the youths.
The name, Sibonile Happiness means we have seen or experienced happiness (sibonile is Ndebele Language) When the vulnerable youths acquire the skills and put them into practice, then they become self-reliant and experience happiness like any other people around them.
Helping and extending a hand to those in need, has been a passion for the Founder Director, a retired high school teacher, Felicity Mugove Ncube (nee Muzvidziwa) since she was young.
Furthermore, in 2008 when her husband passed on , she and her children were helped by her family, friends, churchmates and community. This experience magnified her urge to help others just as they had been assisted. She has been informally involved in charity work since 1980s.
Sibonile Happiness Private Voluntary Organisation was formally registered as a Trust (Reg No. MA 000189/2019) in 2019 with three trustees Charity Takudzwa Basera, Tinotenda Wendy Jeka and Felicity Mugove Ncube.
We are here to nurture youths' big rays of sunshine.
We are also connected to other organisations and individuals that impart vocational skills and support vulnerable youths. Different kinds of people comprise the organisation and we are all united by the understanding that we are blessed to bless others.
The organisation provides uniform, stationery, fees, clothing, bed linen, groceries and sanitary wear as well as vocational skills training,guidance and counselling to the vulnerable youths who are still in school, college or university.
